Independent advice on solar, batteries, heat pumps and home retrofits.
We help homeowners in Co. Dublin make sensible energy decisions — and put you in front of installers we've vetted.

Considering solar, batteries, a heat pump, or a retrofit? Dozens of installers chasing you, SEAI grants confusing, quotes vary by thousands.
We do three things:
Help you understand what makes sense for your house and budget, in plain English.
Introduce you to a small panel of audited installers and gather quotes.
Navigate the SEAI grants with you.
We don't sell or install. You the homeowner pay nothing — installers pay us when a job goes ahead.
Think of us a bit like a mortgage broker — for your home energy.

What's actually involved
—Solar PV
Electricity from daylight (yes, cloudy Irish days too). Typical home: ~4 kWp (~10 panels), ~3,600 kWh/year.
—Inverters
The brain. Converts DC to AC, feeds house first, surplus to battery or grid. Lasts 10–15 years.
—Batteries
Stores daytime solar for evening use. Without: 30–40% self-consumption; with 5–10 kWh: 70–85%. Adds €4,000–€7,000. Payback 8–12 years.
—Basic install
4 kWp, no battery: €8,000–€10,000 before grant. Suits daytime-heavy households.
—With a battery
Worth it for an EV, WFH, or energy independence. Hybrid inverters are battery-ready — add later.
—Heat pumps
Replaces oil/gas boiler. Largest SEAI grant (€6,500). Works best in a well-insulated house — insulation first if BER is poor.

Solar grants are real money — but the process has steps, paperwork, and deadlines worth getting right.
Your installer handles most of it. Our role is to sit on your side of the table: confirm what's actually required by SEAI versus what you're being asked to sign, check the application is right, and make sure the deadline doesn't slip.

Our installers
We work with a small audited panel — not big national outfits that subcontract. They turn up, install quality kit (Tier-1 panels, named-brand inverters and batteries), and stand by their work. Standards slip, off the panel.
